This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, schedule a visit, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible agency directly.
Sheriff and Jail Contacts
Jackson County Sheriff's Office
210 US Highway 75
Holton, KS 66436
Main office and non-emergency: 785-364-2251
Corrections and bond questions: 785-364-4121
Fax: 785-364-4820
Published office hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Kansas Sheriffs' Association publishes those weekday office hours, but confirm holiday and records-counter access before traveling. JCSO has no separately published records telephone, email, KORA form, fee schedule, or photo-request procedure. Call the main office to identify the current records custodian and accepted delivery method, then send a narrow written request.
For a booking record or photo, provide the full name, booking number if known, booking date, and preferred electronic format. Ask for a fee estimate. The Kansas three-business-day requirement concerns the agency's response, not guaranteed production within three days.
Choose the Right Record Office
- For a current booking image, charges, bond, or jail status, use the Jackson County roster and booking guide, then confirm with JCSO.
- For a specific active warrant or featured wanted listing, use Wanted Fugitives and verify the warrant number with JCSO or the court.
- For a recently released person, use the court portal, a specific JCSO media release, or a records request because there is no official release archive.
- For a filed criminal case and disposition, use Kansas District Court records or contact the relevant court clerk.
- For a person sentenced to or supervised by the state, use the Kansas Department of Corrections KASPER search.
- For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
- For emergency danger, call 911. Do not use a roster, wanted page, or contact message as an emergency-reporting tool.
What to Include in a Request
Identify the record precisely. A full name, date of birth when appropriate, arrest or booking date, booking number, arresting agency, and requested record type can prevent an overly broad search. Ask separately for the booking sheet and booking photograph because they are distinct records. Request written statutory grounds for any withholding or redaction.
Questions about this private site's text, links, or operation are different from record requests. A message sent here cannot be forwarded as an official KORA request and cannot alter a sheriff, court, KDOC, federal, or tribal record.
